Tushar Sampat, founder of health portal aarogya.com was awarded the National Award for Outstanding individual achievement by a Non Professional in the field of De-addiction by President Pranab Mukherjee on June 26. In 2011, Tushar had conceptualised and implemented a pilot project for an initiative ‘Uttam Seva’ for vocational rehabilitation with govt of Maharashtra and a small scale industry. The objective of the project is to give a platform to recovering addicts so they get gainful employment.
