Want to kick the butt? This could be an opportunity to know how you could quit smoking. On World Anti-Tobacco Day, various medical organizations and BBMP will organize ‘Freedom from tobacco’, at Freedom Park including free counseling, music concerts and a poster exhibition by doctors.
“Entry to the event is free. There are no charges for any of the support activities or participation. This is an ideal opportunity for a tobacco consumer to get extensiveinformation andimmediate help. Every year, more than 5 million people in India succumb to tobacco-related heart and lung disease or cancer. India has the largest number of oral cancer casesin theworld,” saidhead and neck cancer surgeon, Dr Vishal Rao, one of the organizers.
