I am Recovering

The World Health Organization acknowledged alcoholism as a serious medical problem in 1951, and the American Medical Association declared alcoholism as a treatable illness in 1956. The American Psychiatric Association began to use the term disease to describe alcoholism in 1965, and the American Medical Association followed in 1966.

As with many concepts and theoretical models in the addiction field, the disease concept was originally applied to alcoholism and has been generalized to addiction of other drugs as well. The "disease of addiction" is viewed as a primary disease.

Whether it is abuse of alcohol, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, prescription drugs or any other drug, recovery is possible if you receive effective help for your specific problem.

Due to addiction an individual suffers financial problems and needs to be financially independent to have a meaningful recovery. To overcome financial dependence job search guide can help you to approach the concerned authorities in a proper way. Self employment is another aspect by which you can overcome the financial dependence.

Inspiration & hope is drawn from the "Recovery testimonies" which encourage to living a healthy and productive life.
